Your Divvy Membership May Do More Than You Think

Getting around the city should feel convenient, flexible, and affordable. If you’re a Divvy member, your plan includes built-in options designed to protect your wallet and your schedule – especially when a ride doesn’t go entirely as planned.
Maybe your destination station is completely full, you can’t find a classic bike nearby, or you’re heading out of town for a few weeks. Knowing how your membership handles these moments can help you stay moving while getting the most out of your plan.
What if your destination station is full?
You’ve made it to your stop, but there isn't an open dock in sight.
When a station is full, members can have the out-of-station parking fees waived if you park next to the full station. Just be sure to park responsibly, keeping the bike or scooter out of the street and clear of the pedestrian right-of-way. That gives you another option for ending your trip when docking isn't available, so you can get on with your day.
Can’t find a classic bike? You still have options.
Sometimes the classic bike you planned to ride isn’t available when you step up to the station.
Instead of changing your route, check for Low Assist Mode. It gives eligible members a way to unlock an ebike with reduced electric assistance at the same cost as a classic bike when classic bikes are out of stock. It keeps your trip affordable, giving you a reliable backup plan.
Not riding for a while? Pause your membership.
Your riding habits change with the city's seasons. You might log daily miles during the summer, travel during the holidays, or take a break during the coldest winter weeks.
Annual members can pause their membership for up to 12 weeks for free. You don’t have to pay for weeks you aren't riding or abandon your annual rate altogether. Pausing puts your plan on hold so your membership fits your actual schedule. Need to pause your membership? Visit our membership plan for step-by-step instructions.
Making your membership work for you
Affordability isn’t just about the sticker price of an annual pass – it’s about having options that protect your time and budget once you're on the road. The more you know about what’s included, the easier it is to make Divvy work for your routine, your schedule, and your budget.
In addition to the features mentioned above, a Divvy membership also includes these other great perks:
- Reservations: Lock in a specific ebike or scooter so it's waiting for you when you arrive.
- Ride Together: Unlock a bike for yourself and a friend in one seamless purchase, so you can roll out at the same time.
- Bike Angels: Earn rewards just by moving bikes to where they're needed most, keeping the whole system balanced for everyone.
CDOT and Lyft are also working to keep the cost of membership affordable, with a reduced annual membership price of just $99 for the first year, and $143.50 for returning members.
